Mounting Types

Double Back C-Channel Mount

Letter are mounted as individual words on aluminum c-channels. They are attached with threaded aluminum bolts into in-line stud bosses. The c-channels can be painted or anodized. The backs of the letters can be unfinished (standard) or finished for an additional cost. This option is only suitable for letters between 4 and 24 inches tall. See the Technical Drawing for more details.

The mounting option does not come with a mounting template. The customer must drill their own mounting holes in the c-channels and supply their own hardware to attach the c-channels to the mounting surface.

Mounting Options

  • Solid brass division 10 architectural sign letter with back stud mounting and spacers

    Back Stud Mount

    1/4" thick or thicker sign elements are drilled and tapped on the back to receive threaded studs. 1/8" thick sign elements are too thin to be drilled so blocks are attached to receive the threaded studs.

    Double-Sided Tape Mount

    Strips of VHB tape are applied to the back of the product. This option is warrantied for interior installation on walls that are smooth, clean, and dry.

  • Bottom Stud Mount

    3/8" thick or thicker sign elements are drilled and tapped on the bottom to receive threaded studs. This allows letters to be installed standing upright on a horizontal surface.

    3/8" thick or thicker sign elements are drilled and tapped on the top to receive threaded studs. This allows letters to be installed so they hang vertically from their top.

  • Bottom Rail Mount

    Holes are threaded into the bottom of the letters so they can be screwed to an aluminum rail or c-channel. The rail is attached to the mounting surface so that the letters stand upright. The rail can be painted or anodized.
