Mounting Types

Top Rail Mount

Letter are mounted on the top as individual words on flat aluminum rails. They are attached with threaded aluminum bolts into in-line stud bosses. The rail can be painted or anodized. The backs of the letters can be unfinished (standard) or finished for an additional cost. This option is only suitable for letters up between 4" and 24" tall with a minimum thickness of 3/8". See the Technical Drawing for more details

The mounting option does not come with a mounting template. The customer must drill their own mounting holes in the rail and supply their own hardware to attach the rail to the mounting surface.

  • Solid brass division 10 architectural sign letter with back stud mounting and spacers

    Back Stud Mount

    1/4" thick or thicker sign elements are drilled and tapped on the back to receive threaded studs. 1/8" thick sign elements are too thin to be drilled so blocks are attached to receive the threaded studs.

    Double-Sided Tape Mount

    Strips of VHB tape are applied to the back of the product. This option is warrantied for interior installation on walls that are smooth, clean, and dry.

  • Bottom Stud Mount

    3/8" thick or thicker sign elements are drilled and tapped on the bottom to receive threaded studs. This allows letters to be installed standing upright on a horizontal surface.

    3/8" thick or thicker sign elements are drilled and tapped on the top to receive threaded studs. This allows letters to be installed so they hang vertically from their top.
